Job Title: General Production Worker - 2nd Shift (Forklift Exp Required)

Pay Rate : $20.00/hour

  • $18.50 base pay + $1.50 shift differential

Shift:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM, Monday–Thursday

  • Training Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Thursday

Job Description

This role supports production operations by sorting used oil filters on a conveyor line and moving materials throughout the facility. You will work on your feet for the entire shift, performing hands-on tasks in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and using a forklift to transport drums, containers, trash, and filters as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Stand at a designated station and sort used oil filters as they come off the conveyor belt, following established procedures and quality standards.

  • Visually inspect filters while sorting to ensure proper separation and handling of materials.

  • Operate a forklift to move drums, containers of trash, and oil filters to designated areas in the facility and yard.

  • Handle general labor and production tasks to support overall workflow and meet production goals.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a dirty, oil-exposed environment by following housekeeping and safety practices.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures when working around conveyors, oil filters, and heavy equipment.

  • Work on your feet for the entire shift, including standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials as required.

  • Participate in training on first shift to learn processes, safety expectations, and equipment operation before transitioning to second shift.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards.

  • Adapt to working both indoors in an open-air environment and outdoors while operating forklifts.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in general production or general labor roles.

  • Ability to perform physical work, including standing for the entire shift, lifting, and handling materials in a dirty environment.

  • Forklift experience and ability to safely operate a forklift to move drums and containers.

  • Comfort working in an environment with oil, dirt, and exposure to outdoor conditions.

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.

  • Willingness to work 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

  • Reliability and strong work ethic to meet production demands and schedule requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.

  • Comfort working around industrial equipment such as conveyors and forklifts.

  • Ability to learn quickly during initial training on first shift and transition smoothly to second shift.

  • Strong attention to detail when sorting and handling materials.

Work Environment

You work in an inside open-air environment while sorting oil filters, with regular exposure to oil and dirt, making it a physically demanding and dirty setting. The role also requires working outside while driving forklifts and moving materials around the facility yard. The schedule is a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with initial training on 1st shift for approximately two weeks. You should expect to be on your feet for the entire shift, working around conveyors, industrial equipment, and outdoor conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
