Now Hiring: Equipment Operators Heart of Florida Landfill

We are currently seeking experienced, safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join our team at Heart of Florida Landfill. Prior landfill or waste experience is a big plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Schedule: Day Shift | MondayFriday with occasional Saturdays Hours: 4555 hours per week Pay: $24$26+ per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance around the site and facility
• Spread and compact trash using a Compactor
• Apply daily cover using a Dozer
• Excavate soil with an Excavator
• Haul soil as needed

Working Conditions

• Outdoor landfill environment
• Work near moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to wet/humid conditions, vibration, fumes, or airborne particles
• Clean, well-lit, and ventilated areas

What We're Looking For

• Experience operating a forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred
• Ability to learn and safely operate site-specific equipment independently
• Willingness to follow PPE requirements and safety protocols
• Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to take on new responsibilities
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
