The Functional Deployment Site Practitioner supports the end-to-end lifecycle of Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementations across multiple hospitals and clinical sites.
This role is responsible for leading and coordinating discovery efforts at hospitals and clinics to assess workflows, clinical services, standard operating procedures (SOPs), shared services, and research operations. Following discovery, the Practitioner conducts detailed analyses to define functional and clinical scope, identify requirements, and perform gap assessments. Developing a strong understanding of the client's standard capabilities, workflows, and services is critical to delivering meaningful insights and recommendations.
Throughout the deployment lifecycle, the Practitioner partners with clinical and operational stakeholders to address capability gaps and ensure functional readiness for EHR transition. Acting as a key liaison between technical and clinical teams, the Practitioner translates complex requirements and system changes into clear, actionable insights for deployment sites.
The role also involves close collaboration with Change Management (CM) and End User Engagement & Adoption (EUEA) teams to provide clinical expertise and support critical deployment activities. These include User Readiness Assessments (URA), data collection and system build, testing, training, and adoption initiatives. Additionally, the Practitioner captures lessons learned to continuously improve future implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and organize site discovery efforts across hospitals and clinics
Analyze workflows, services, and operational structures to define requirements
Conduct gap analysis and develop recommendations for capability alignment
Serve as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams
Support deployment activities including URA, testing, training, and adoption
Collaborate with CM and EUEA teams to drive engagement and readiness
Document insights and lessons learned to enhance future deployments
Qualifications:
Experience conducting hospital or clinic operational assessments
Familiarity with clinical information systems and EHR platforms
Understanding of inpatient and outpatient care workflows
Experience with Oracle EHR or similar systems preferred
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% depending on deployment phase and site needs
