Global Markets Accounting Lead - Remote

This critical role will shape the future of a rapidly expanding prime services business by overseeing brokerage-related accounting functions and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Global Markets Accounting Lead will work closely with legal and compliance teams to prepare for swap-dealer registration, navigating the complexities of trading digital assets and derivatives. Accountabilities

Oversee all brokerage-related accounting and reporting functions.

Ensure compliance with regulations and financial reporting standards.

Design, document, and implement accounting policies and controls.

Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and operations teams.

Drive development of automated financial processes and controls.

Perform month-end accounting close responsibilities and reviews.

Create and maintain documentation for accounting processes.

Interact with regulators during the registration and compliance processes.

Requirements

10+ years of related accounting experience, preferably in a startup or Fintech environment.

Deep expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 815.

Experience with accounting for digital assets and prime brokerage services.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly.

Proficiency in Google Sheets and handling large datasets.

Knowledge of NFA filings and swap-dealer requirements.

Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

NFA Series 3 License preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
