JOB TITLE: CustodianPlant Floors

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

TOTAL POSITIONS: 1 (2nd Shift, Monday-Friday (2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)

PAY: $16.90 per hour

(As applicable, in determining a final rate of pay for a current employee, a compensation calculation occurs accounting for length of current employment.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Operates the floor scrubbers to keep the plant flooring clean.
2. Must be able to operate all floor grinding and polishing equipment to produce a high luster.
3. Must be able to operate all cleaning/finishing machinery, to include, but not limited to floor grinding, buffer/burnishes, vacuum dust collection system.
4. Perform proper techniques of floor care and preparation of areas to be cleaned, buffed, stone polished, and repaired as needed to produce high shine/luster throughout the plant.
5. Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
6. Be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
7. Maintain all floor repair, buffing, grinding, and polishing equipment with assistance from the Maintenance Team.

Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Current Cardinal Employees: Zero progressive discipline in the last 6 months.
3. Previous work experience cleaning business flooring, preferably manufacturing plant flooring.
4. Previous work experience operating and maintaining industrial floor cleaning equipment.
5. Required to lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds repetitively.
6. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
7. Positive safety attitude.
