The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who come in as part of their health routine or for life-defining health decisions.
The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
The PSR II creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explains procedures to patients, and performs blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Under the direction of the area supervisor, the PSR II performs daily activities accurately and on time.
Maintains a safe and professional environment.
Performs both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
Verifies patient demographic information and confirms tube labeling in the patient s presence.
Maintains required records and documentation.
Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Commitment to all policies and procedures, including dress code and safety guidelines.
Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Reliable transportation and valid driver s license when applicable.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Strong customer focus with clear and transparent communication skills.
Ability to embrace change and maintain strong business knowledge.
Ability to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
Experience:
1 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
2 years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
Keyboard and data entry experience.
Responsibilities:
