Job Details

United Structural Systems is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair company vehicles and equipment used in foundation repair operations. This role ensures that trucks, trailers, heavy machinery, and specialized foundation repair equipment are safe, reliable and ready to support jobsite productivity.

What you'll do:

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on company vehicles, trailers and equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, hydraulic systems, compressors and other foundation and grouting tools).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime on jobsites.
• Maintain accurate service logs, repair records and inventory of parts and tools.
• Respond to any field service calls to perform emergency repairs and minimize project delays.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with operations team to schedule maintenance and prioritize repairs.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions for improved efficiency.
• Assist with equipment setup, modifications and fabrication as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and work area.

What you'll need:

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in equipment and vehicle repair (construction or heavy equipment a plus).
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and diesel/gas engines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license and ability to be insured by the Company.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, various weather conditions and stand for extended periods of time.
