Job Title: Grocery Bagger

Position Overview: As a Grocery Bagger, you will enhance customer confidence and loyalty by providing quick, accurate, and courteous checkout assistance. You will effectively package customer purchases and facilitate a smooth transition of groceries from the checkout lane to the customer's vehicle.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
  • Help customers unload purchases onto the conveyor belt during checkout.
  • Carefully pack grocery items to avoid damage and transport them to customers' vehicles.
  • Check prices of merchandise in various departments when necessary.
  • Efficiently restock and utilize supply items to minimize waste and keep supply costs low.
  • Handle returned or discarded merchandise appropriately.
  • Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas, returning them to designated locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and report any safety hazards or malfunctioning equipment to management.
  • Notify management of any theft, shoplifting incidents, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or other illegal activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Meet legal and company age requirements for the role.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain proper authorization.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
