Production Technician

Pay Rate: $15.50

SHIFTS: 2nd Shift - M - F 3pm-11pm - 40 hours per week/ additional $1.50 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Works anywhere in the plant, as needed.
2. Performs work as directed by supervision.
3. Keeps the work area clean and organized.
4. Moves glass from one rack to another to prepare for shipment.
5. May spray powder between the panels of glass.
6. Repeats the process until the rack is full.
7. Secures the glass with binding, honeycomb strips and corner boards.
8. Work elsewhere as directed by supervision.
9. Reads and comprehends safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals, along with other similar documents.
10. Requires the need to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
11. Requires the ability to read a tape measure to 16ths.
12. Requires standing all day.
13. Produces a quality product in a timely manner.
14. Wears all the required personal protective equipment for the specific job.
15. Works as a Cardinal team member, not a specific department member.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Glass Handlers are expected to handle glass up to 50 pounds by themselves and any glass over 50 pounds, requires at least two people working together.
