The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who visit, whether as part of their routine health care or for life-impacting health insights.
The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established procedures.
This role requires direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in patient information.
Successful candidates may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Verify patient demographic information and ensure specimens are properly labeled in the patient s presence.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.
Commitment to company policies, dress code, and safety standards.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
Reliable transportation, valid driver s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Flexibility to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Strong customer focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:
Excellent phlebotomy and specimen handling skills.

Data entry and basic computer proficiency.
Qualification And Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service setting strongly preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience required.
