Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who visit, whether as part of their routine health care or for life-impacting health insights.

  • The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established procedures.

  • This role requires direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in patient information.

  • Successful candidates may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations as needed.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.

  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure specimens are properly labeled in the patient s presence.

  • Maintain required records and documentation.

  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.


Requirement/Must Have:


  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.

  • Commitment to company policies, dress code, and safety standards.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

  • Flexibility to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:


  • Excellent phlebotomy and specimen handling skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Data entry and basic computer proficiency.


Qualification And Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).


Experience:


  • 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

  • 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

  • Customer service experience in a retail or service setting strongly preferred.

  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
