Patient safety by ensuring surgical instruments are processed according to manufacturers guidelines and AAMI standards. The value youll bring to the team: - Responsible for the transportation of contaminated and sterile surgical instruments and supplies to and from all OR's and patient care areas to ensure surgical instruments are available for patient use for scheduled and emergency procedures. - Responsible for patient safety by preventing cross contamination of surgical instruments by decontaminating and inspecting instruments for cleanliness and defects. - Contributes to department cleanliness, organization, productivity and safety by keeping all instruments and supplies are kept in designated location. - Utilizes Microsystems SPM computer program to track instruments, document effective time management/productivity and Q.
