Our client is looking for a General Manager located in Palm Beach, Boca Raton, or Miami to manage high performing teams in their production and services support area.
Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the full profit and loss (P&L) performance, budgeting, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for one or more locations, spanning both sales and operations. This role emphasizes operational leadership while maintaining strong collaboration with Sales, Service & Support, and Operations teams to ensure seamless business execution. The General Manager builds and leads high-performing teams through strategic staffing, comprehensive training, and a strong emphasis on culture and communication. The role also involves regular engagement with regional leadership and executive stakeholders, including the CEO, to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Responsible for Location P&L, budget and Location KPI metrics- for both sales and operations and may do this for more than 1 location
- Leads and builds team through staffing properly, training & on-boarding oversight, culture & consistent communication.
- Primarily focuses on the operations side of the business, but also partners with and works along the Sales team, Service & Support, warehouse- and all the parts of the location business.
- Meets weekly with the location team for a production meeting with all key departments involved, removes barriers in the business, and adjusts according to the business needs.
- Consistently meets with Regional Leadership, including all other business partners needed to run the location business, such as Sales, Service & Support, up through the CEO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing project-oriented businesses in industries such as electronic system integration, construction, or engineering.
- Proven track record in leading high-performing teams.
- Extensive experience using and managing analytics within Netsuite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter mindset.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A proven track record in people management and leadership, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing operations teams.
- Extensive experience in the security, home renovation, construction, or architecture sales industry, with a deep understanding of the market dynamics, trends, and challenges.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop operations strategies, identify growth opportunities, and address competitive threats.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Experience in developing and implementing operations plans, setting targets, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close complex deals, with a deep understanding of contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy to analyze financial and operations data, evaluate market trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize location performance.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry best practices and trends to drive innovation and growth.

- Prolonged periods sitting (e.g., during travel or computer work).
- Ability to lift to 15 pounds as needed.
