Pay Rate: $160 - $170 per hour

Location: South San Francisco, CA - Remote Role

Job Summary:

This opportunity is a part-time, fully remote role. Candidates who are local and can visit our offices occasionally for team meetings or special projects are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements
• Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)
• Collaboration and Licensing Agreements
• Sponsored Research Agreements (SRAs)
• Drug Manufacturing Agreements
• Other related commercial and operational contracts
• Draft and advise on Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
• Draft and update website and employee privacy policies
• Develop and maintain privacy-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Provide general legal advice on data privacy compliance and best practices

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 8+ years of experience handling commercial contracts, preferably in life sciences or a related field
• 5+ years of experience focused on data privacy and protection, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, as applicable
• Experience in both a law firm and in-house setting (contract roles acceptable)
• Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in life sciences and privacy
