Project Associate

Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management?

The Project Associate is phase 1 of 3 on the path to becoming a Project Manager with one of the largest electrical technology companies in the country.

The Project Associate reports directly to the project leader. This client-facing role requires building relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer engagement, and technical training.

Essential Job Functions

• Understand Miller Electric's approach to electrical project management.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues through communication and high-quality work.
• Support estimates and proposals to help win new work, establish procedures, and schedule timelines.
• Develop electrical vocabulary and job site etiquette understanding.
• Ensure projects are built according to design, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate with field leaders, subcontractors, and other trades to meet client expectations.
• Assess construction progress and address issues through regular site visits.
• Work with vendors for timely procurement and delivery of materials.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician.
• Strong computer and Google Suite skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills development.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience.
• Construction industry experience.
• Familiarity with computer-based estimating.
• Understanding of billing and collections.
