Construction Coordinator

Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.


As a Construction Coordinator in the manufactured housing industry, you will play a critical role in coordinating various aspects of the construction process. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of our projects, adhering to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, schedule, and budget requirements for each project.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Review project documentation, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts, to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential issues or delays, taking proactive measures to address them and minimize impact on project timelines.
  • Assist in the procurement of construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate quantities to support project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, expenses, and progress updates.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction quality, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist in resolving any construction-related disputes or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders regarding project status, milestones, and any changes to the original plan.
  • Support project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and handover processes.



Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in construction coordination preferred, preferably within the manufactured housing industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make timely decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and project tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
