Director of Training

Objective

To effectively lead and develop training and career development of all employees and to actively drive implement, and monitor training of new employees.

Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Develop and implement orientation program for new employees in conjunction with HR and the Leadership Team.
  • Implement skill assessments and training in the following areas:
  • Building with Beer on and off premise
  • Power Selling and Coaching
  • Time Management and Organization Skills Training
  • Beer knowledge training
  • Management Coaching and Counseling training
  • Train all employees on how to give and receive feedback
  • Follow up on training of each employee to ensure the employee can actually perform the skills for which they were trained
  • Be the advocate for training of all new employees.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of PI Predictive Index is a plus
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Kaizen or ISO exp a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Heavy travel between Tallahassee and Ocala
  • Must be able to develop effective working relationships with all internal tern members
  • Must be able to interact and negotiate with all levels within Cone Distributing, retail establishments and our suppliers.
  • Must have the aptitude to work within and foster a team environment
  • Knowledge of Team Cone market and retail call standards for both on and off premise.
  • The ability to learn and understand route accounting software.
  • Must be able to understand and sell the entire portfolio
  • Must possess the ability and maintain Cone Distributing Retail Call and merchandising standards
  • Understanding of sales and marketing program implementation
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of malt beverages
  • Attend all staff, monthly sales meetings as scheduled
  • Good math skills
  • The ability to use Smart Phones, iPads, computers, or other similar electronic devices in the performance of job duties.
  • Strong and effective communication skills for both internal and external communications.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • College preferred. Will consider experience in the field +Education
  • 10 years of Management experience
  • Computer skills-Word, Power Point, Excel
