Building Envelope Project Manager - Orlando

A leading firm specializing in building envelope. Their expertise spans building envelope consulting, design, and engineering of various systems, including aluminum and glass curtain walls, stone veneer, architectural precast concrete, and more. They are committed to delivering innovative and effective solutions.

Position Overview: Seeking a skilled and experienced Building Envelope Consultant to join the team. In this role, you will visit various construction sites to observe and report on the installation, repair, and testing of building envelope components such as roofing, waterproofing, façade elements, coatings, sealants, and glazing. You will also coordinate the work of engineers in the department, review and comment on the work prepared by others, and monitor and manage project finances. Additionally, you will supervise complex projects to completion by directing subordinates, providing detailed direction, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to inspect and report on building envelope installations and repairs.
  • Perform condition assessments and diagnostic testing following industry standards.
  • Interpret and create technical specifications, architectural, and structural drawings.
  • Coordinate engineering tasks within the department.
  • Review and provide feedback on work prepared by colleagues.
  • Oversee and manage project budgets.
  • Communicate effectively and work independently within a team setting.
  • Travel between islands as needed (expenses covered by the company).

Qualifications:

  • Extensive construction background with familiarity in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Previous experience in forensic consulting is desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams; AutoCAD skills preferred.
  • Valid HI driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions, including adverse weather and hazardous environments.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as extensive walking, lifting medium-weight materials (up to 30 lbs.), and working at heights.
